I feel like the worst mom ever. I never attended mommy and me classes. Olivia isn’t in gymnastics, swim, discovery classes, ect. According to standards now a days I have failed as a mother. That’s why I jumped at the opportunity to meet up with some mamas at a new adorable play cafe. If you guys aren’t following Sandy @sandyalamode Blakely @eloiseandme or Makelle @makelleahlin on instagram you need to. They have beautiful pictures & are beautiful themselves inside & out.
Storybrook cafe has so much character and charm the moment you walk in. They have an adorable set up with playhouses, puppet show, ball pit, the cutest little car for kids to ride, and that’s just the first level. You walk upstairs and there is a cafe set up there. I was able to check a few emails while Olivia was occupied by her lemon poppyseed muffin.
While upstairs we wanted a little bit more privacy so we escaped into a room with plenty more toys to play with and a comfy couch to lounge on. Olivia was very sick the week before and lets just say she was a little too attached to mommy so we had to have some alone time to warm up to the place. It didn’t take long though with all the fun stuff to keep her occupied. We ended up staying way longer than I thought we would. After grabbing some food we headed back downstairs & Olivia explored while I browsed through their little shop/boutique. They have the cutest baby clothes & accessories from small shops. I love supporting small handmade businesses & love places that support them as well. While hanging out we met one of the owners. She told us her story of being a stay at home mom and wanting to work at a place where she could bring her child with her. She and her business partner decided to open up this cute cafe for parents to be able to escape to and let their kids explore at the same time. I love how places are being more kid friendly now. With both parents working or bringing in an income we need places like this that we are able to catch up on a few emails while letting our children play.
Before packing up we headed outside to get some fresh air on the patio. I can’t wait for summertime but how nice will it be to sit back with a snack & drink, catch up on some work while Olivia gets to play. I can honestly say that I will be returning back to Storybrook Cafe. Not only on a regular day but they have lots of fun activities on their schedule as well. Reptile day, princess day, brunch with the Easter Bunny, and lots more. Go check out their website and see what fun things they have planned for the future and if you’ve been thinking about visiting this place, stop hesitating because you wont regret it.
